Where is ivar the bloodhand

Join Date Sep Posts 1, Grimbark is a cakewalk compared to Ivar, you don't have adds popping up everywhere so it's a much more predictable and easily planned fight. I think the first time we took down Ivar Hard mode we were about 38, 37 and It was pretty brutal - I think we finally got him after 3 wipes. It was our first real learning experience in terms of grouping effectively and I think it taught us a lot.

With what I know now I think I could plan and execute the battle much more efficiently, though I still think it would be a serious challenge even with more experienced players if everyone was low 30s. Jan 12 , PM 4. I brought 2 65s with me, and we had to run away once, then come back and try again.

I'm not saying they were the greatest 65s, but Ivar is hard. You want me to create wood?!? Jan 13 , AM 5. Join Date Aug Posts Originally Posted by Corlion.

There are certain things you must do during his fight encounter otherwise you make the fight that much harder on you. Furthermore, folks need to learn how to play in a group. Jan 13 , AM 7. Join Date Sep Posts The way we did it on level with alts was with a warden, burg and rk. Warden kited ivar and adds while leeching, rk healed and burg mezzed his healers when they popped.

The fight is extremely hard for inexperienced players, hell we even got some "no way! Jan 13 , AM 8. Its a fellowship quests and it supposed to be harder and tahst very fine because thats what fellowship quests are However despite the fact that some fellowship quests require a full group you can complete many of them with even three or four players This fellowship quest isnt hard, i completed on the first time, just use all your skills, for example only with the traps taht a hunter can make its win a hunter can make at once all togther four traps, thats a lot to defeat even a boss.

Join Date Jan Posts I think Ivar was one of the greatest challenges I faced in the middle tweens, if not THE greatest cheallenge -- no, I'm not forgetting the Barrow-Downs a couple of levels earlier. And I have to add I am happy that people still think Ivar still is quite a challenge! I did Ivar a couple of times in the past few months with friends that are new to the game. It was fun, especially because my friends were like "Oh, no, that Ivar guy is just too hard!

Grimbark, on the other hand, didn't seem so difficult as I remembered. I guess the biggest challenge is actually playing in group in the lower levels. Last time I went to the Red Maid we had to kick a guy from the fellow because he just wouldn't listen, and he was not supposed to heal, he was not supposed to get Cjs, he was not supposed to CC - he was just supposed to tank and DPS the very same target the whole time. Oh, well. Jan 13 , AM Join Date Jun Posts After a few tries, we figured it out well enough that we were able to do it a few days in a row.

Here are the things that we learned: 1. If you miss it, you'll probably wipe because he summons extra dudes. Really, I think this is the hardest part both because new people don't necessarily know about interrupting yet and because not every class necessarily has their interrupt skill yet. You HAVE to get aggro from the archers as soon as they pop up or they'll kill your healer real fast.

Sometimes he brings in two at once from opposite sides of the room, so watch out! You mentioned a burglar, so I should say that it's probably also possible to deal with the archers with riddles, but I haven't tried it. Join Date Apr Posts 1, Yes this is a difficult fight on-level. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't run it since the revamp. Though I do like that there is still a challenge earlier in the game. Jan 13 , PM Neither group was a rollover and required several tries to succeed.

Join Date Mar Posts Personally I think this game needs more low-level content like Ivar and Remmenaeg you know, Fornost guy! With the general ease of leveling now, a lot of people are ending up having their first grouping experiences in their 60's or even at cap, only to find it extremely disheartening when they realize that their gear is sub-par, they don't know what their role is in a group, and the standard landscape quest approach of "hit it as hard as you can as fast as you can until it dies, then loot" doesn't always work.

Now, before people get mad, this isn't my usual elitist "I can beat it and you can't, therefore I'm great and you suck" rant. My kinsman has asked me to intervene, but I cannot leave these wretched fields. Would you go in my stead? I would search there for Ivar the Blood-hand. If you find him and defeat him, bring his helm to me. Background: Word has come to Saeradan in the Bree-fields of an ancient evil, the Gaunt-lord Ivar, called the Blood-hand, who is raising an army of wights in Agamaur.

Objective: 1. Ivar may be found in Garth Agarwen in the north of Agamaur, far to the east of Bree-land. Saeradan, left alone to protect the Bree-fields, is unable to answer his kinsman's call to seek out and destroy Ivar the Bloodhand. He has asked you to go in his stead and to bring him Ivar's helm. Would you go in my stead? I would search there for Ivar the Blood-hand. If you find him and defeat him, bring his helm to me as proof.

Radagast knows the ancient evil of the Gaunt-lord Ivar, called the Blood-hand, who is raising an army of wights in Agamaur. Radagast is unable to directly interfere in the war by seeking out and destroying Ivar the Blood-hand.

He has asked you to go in his stead and to bring him Ivar's helm as proof of your victory. From Lotro-Wiki. Namespaces Quest Discussion.
