Why is my subscriptions disappearing on youtube

Recently I was going through my list of subscribed channels. I was not able to find a few channels in the list, which I distinctly remember subscribing to. I opened YouTube in a new browser tab, searched for the channel and opened the channel web page. And lo, the channel was subscribed. Case in point, the same case has happened with various channels that I actually still am subscribed to but they are not showing up in list of subscriptions.

I have tried going through the list on Web client, iOS as well as Android app. Now my concern is, have I technically lost access to many other such subscribed channels that I can't recall at the moment.

Keep in mind I have over 1k subscriptions. Has anyone come across this bug? If yes, is there a workaround to recover lost subscribed channels? I came across this page while doing a Google search. Appears to discuss the same issue, but I was not able to find any solution there.

I remember writing a feedback to YouTube with the link for this question. Not sure if that led to the issue getting fixed.

But nice to have my subs back. For the channels that are not listed under subscribed section with you being subscribed to them, check if you also subscribed to the bell notifications. A lot of voodoo happened when YouTube re-designed the whole subscription process a year ago. Track down and re-subscribe to those channels, so YouTube could update their database with your subscriptions. Contact YouTube support with your issue, and ask them to fix it for you. But in addition to that, channel creators can also buy YouTube views as well.

That is, bring artificial viewers to come watch their videos. Also, since it is cheaper to purchase views, creators could wind up with more subscribers in the end. It all depends on whether the viewers enjoyed the videos or not. Someone might ask, "how does buying YouTube views translate to more subscribers?

Buying views potentially gives videos a better rank on the YouTube search engine. The algorithm responds kindly to videos with lots of views. Once YouTube spots that a video gets enough views, they reward the creator with better rankings. Once a creator and their video ranks high in the algorithm, they start to see an influx of new viewers to their videos and channel. If the content of the channel is indeed enjoyable, these new viewers will likely subscribe to the channel.

YouTube gives creators some free SEO tools to help rank videos better. Creators have the opportunity to enter a description and add tags to each of their videos upload. YouTube expects that the description and tags should relate to the topic of the video content.

The YouTube algorithm is very clever in detecting their relevancy. If they are found not to be relevant, YouTube sends the creator a warning strike.

To add keywords into video description, video creators can use the same words or terms used for the tags. In case the creator doesn't have an idea of the right keywords to use, they can research popular keywords by using a professional YouTube Keyword tool. Earning the first 1, subscribers will be the most difficult challenge as a content creator. But as the first rolls in, it will be less challenging to find new subscribers.

Once a high number of subscribers rolls in, those ones become the conduit for attracting more subscribers, because they will share the channel videos with their friends and acquaintances, and practically do all the marketing for the channel.

In case you clicked on the option to get bell notifications for every single upload from every YouTuber you subscribed to, you have to deal with a ton of notifications. Unfortunately, YouTube does not have a native option to mass unsubscribe from channels because it does not want you to do it. On the bright side, you can do it yourself, and we are going to show you how. You probably already know how to unsubscribe YouTube channels one by one, and know that it is very time-consuming.

But, did you know you can go to the YouTube subscription manager and see all the channels you are subscribed to? You can now scroll through all of your subscriptions here and decide which ones you want to keep watching and which ones you want to get rid of.
